    I think SS suggested we hold it around a race for those who want to do that and then join for the evening bash, but also have a xotf style amble on offer. Social runs are the way forward

    or an LDWA event even...does it have to be lakes...maybe north yorkshire

    LWDA events are always very long...that means alot cant/wont want to do it/be able to do it.

    But clearly any fun had there has nothing to do with the music played, or the locals, so we could have just as much fun as any drinking/dancing establishment with a late licence

    LDWA events often have a short route too. Though short in that sense is often 15 miles.

    A BG would be ideal for a social run...but we couldnt keep stopping and posing for photos and having a chat.....well...merry couldnt anyway.


    BUT...we wouldnt all be together if it was set around merrys BG as we'd obviously be on different legs (but if it was a race we wouldnt all be together anyway).
    But #2.....if it was on the BG we wouldnt be able to do a social thing after it because of the time differences we'd all be running...whereas if it was a race it would give everyone the chance to be together in the evening.
