Well I enjoyed that despite losing count of the heather scratches and being the furthest back %age-wise behind the winner (Mr Mounsey) than ever before.

Managed to stay upright and keep laces tight but struggled on the direct-line to the final checkpoint - following CV runners who seemed to be following trods that disappeared.

Thanks to the organisers, marshals etc & good to meet Stagger & Ernie, Tussockface, Manhar, TurboTom, Fleeter & Graham B again and Flightless Bird for the first time

Respect. I'm all for getting value for money from a race.

Should be a few moves on the forum race ladder today, especially Ben Mounsey. Wonder if knows he's been entered, so to speak

Ay, that what the wee Irish man does.

Don't worry I'll put chicken in the veggie soup in Ireland

What were the kit requirements? I thought it said on the CV website that full body cover, map and compass were required.

    Re: Midgley Moor

You needed to come prepared with full kit, but on the day requirements were dropped to carrying a cagoule, as the weather was good.
Most people did take a cag, though I spotted a few without.
