    Don't panic - I'm ok
But is it safe to go back in the water?..err bog?
I had to cut my run short so still have nt inspected the zone as yet.
Will be getting up there asap. Watched the Woman in Black this week (might need a rope and vintage rolls-royce in case something goes wrong)

Hopefully I have attached the photo correctly, this is post stitches after they cut and scraped out the mud that was in the wound.
Sorry never got a pre photo with exposed shin bone.
Leg now very sore and painful, may have to have a rest from running this week!!!
In response to Trigs earlier post on finishing the race I was so annoyed with getting the wrong line to the Standing Stone and losing so many places catching up the front group became priority.
When I eventually decided to have a proper look at the leg thats when I nearly passed out what a good thing adrenaline is!!!
Anyway still enjoyed the race will be back next year im sure.

Just following up on Matt's injury & I'm sure he won't mind me posting.

He was admitted to hospital on Friday as the antibiotics didn't appear to be working, & the wound wasn't healing. He's been in all weekend on IV drugs to try & sort it out, & was hoping to be released today. Careful of those bog monsters folks! On the plus side he's now on first name terms with CVFR, after now being "rescued" twice by them

Hope your injury is getting better too, Nick. If in doubt, get back to the doc's

I'll post more information as I get it.

Since the new drugs all seems to be well, also been running a bit over the last few days, stitches out tomorrow so hopefully all is okay.
Hope Matts okay now, give him my regards.

Its a flat, tapered, piece of drystone wall; someone must have put it in the bog as a stepping stone, which when submerged became a lethal, shin-slicing, bog shark.
It is now safe to go back in the water.....
The offending stone might make an excellent trophy when cleaned up???

    Heptonstall Fell Race 2013 - Cat B / LONG
GREAT NEWS - Just heard that the main landowner (local shooting estate) has given the race permission for 2013.
The date of 2013 Heptonstall Fell Race (15miles 3200ft) is SUNDAY 17th MARCH 2013.
This could be a good long race to include in your club champs and grand prixs for 2013??
