Sounds like BS to me. Can you name names? I'd wager that any Salomon athlete wouldn't be one for very long if they ran in a competitors equipment.

Once again you seem to be very concerned, are you meant to be Incharge of Salomon's sponsored athletes? LOL

Nope, I just like people to back up their claims. If they can't, they get labelled as BS'ers. Pretty weak too for what is, in essence, the 'public' face of a company.

Salomons seem to be good enough for Joe Symonds, Rob Hope, Angela Mudge, Ricky Lightfoot, Emma Clayton and many more, but let's be honest they could run in plimsoles and still win races.

It's easy to fall for the marketing surrounding shoes and it's not just inov-8 who do it, New Balance and Salamon do too. The only company who don't promote their brand is Walsh.

That could be because they don't really sell any shoes.
I think Walsh are making more from their fashion side of the business that the few hundred pairs they sell to runners are nowt but a token effort.
We use to see an agent who would sell to stores but even he has given up with them now.

I saw on the Norman Walsh twitter they were real keen to show a photo of an all White PB extreme...WTF is that about, White upper, cushioning & White stud sole

When I went to the factory shop they said they were making more from fashion shoes and they sell a lot in the Asian market. It probably explains why they've let inov-8 corner the market for fell shoes. At the end of the day if you can think for yourself and not be swayed by marketing bullshit you'll realise what the best shoes for you are.

Have a look at pics from the champs races and tell me which of the above athletes didn't have Salomons on?

As for Rob Hope sponsored by Walsh.

Anyway I've not come on here to argue which shoe is best, everyone has a choice, so run in which shoe you want.
