    quite a few of the bingley harriers are sacrificing there club handicap to come to this race,tough call but shepherds won

    It looks great out there at the moment in Leeds, but the forecast on BBC is wet, windy and misty. I'd settle for last year's weather.

    I have all the kit required but would welcome some advice on the choice of footware.

    Has anyone an tips as this will be my first fell.

    I run 10ks in approx 45 to 48 minutes.

    No tarmac, all fell so 'proper' fell shoes are the best option on this one. Quite a tight start with restricted overtaking for a short while. When you see the monument, that's when you will be heading downhill and will be thankfull for the grip of a studded shoe. After the climb back up, you return by the same path on which you ran out. Pub just over the road, enjoy.

    Good advice Ady.

    I will be in the Mudclaws as is a bit too boggy for the Walsh's.
