Sign o' the times I guess. Fell running (and indeed all sorts of running events) seem to be becoming massively oversubscribed compared to a few years ago. Price we're paying for a sport that's so popular now.

So how do you find out if you're in or not?

I know the route well Darren and it is no fell runners route......someone like Andi or Ben Fish or Steve Vernon would be so far ahead by the descent down to the river that they could crawl down on their belly, have a shit and a wash in the stream and still saunter down to the finish for an easy win.

A very fair assessment of what could happen FM, and I fully agree.

That's not a good idea ~ the stream runs into the reservoir for drinking water.

not seen the official entry list for half tour yet but I'd expect the athletes mentioned above to be in Nottingham for the Inter-counties & UK Trial xc race

"Half Tour of Pendle has reached the maximum number of entries. "

So where does it say in the fixtures book that there is a limit on the entries for this race?

Its more the principle of the matter than the fact......I'm surprised its even an A category race given the distance and the climb......

    It's a perfectly formed 9m/2250'. 9 x 250' = 2250'. I hope there's no errosion on the top before the race!
