    Running in the snow

Running in the snow at night, just me and the dog - PURE MAGIC. Hope it lasts a few more days.

    Re: Running in the snow

I wish i could go running in the snow - unfortunately living in the middle of a city means the pavements are made of ice right now (so consequently walking is a problem let alone running ) and I couldn't get the car out of my road last night either

    BOOOOOO!

    Sounds good though

    Re: Running in the snow

So at 6 last night I was ready to fire the stove up, get some butties and turn on the news......then a vision, I only live once........
Out on the MTB at 7 last night up on the moors above Hardcastle Craggs, Widdop and Colden....fantastic. Blizzard, up to my knees in places (hey, I'm not that strong a rider!), fell off a few times, but it's funny falling into the snow. Tracks mostly about 6 inches of snow, with much deeper in places.
Head torch a must for the drifts. Home at 2130 did I see anyone, no, wonderful.
An experience I shall never forget.
Good job I didn't stop for a rest/kip on top of Heptonstall moor = RIP.
Isn't that what life's about tho, challenges and experiences that will stay with you for the rest of your life?

    Re: Running in the snow

I was gutted, I put off running last night in the snow coz fifth gear was on and thought I'd go in the morning, went this morning at 5am looking forward to it being nice and quiet and it had all gone, we had more snow yesterday than I can ever remember falling in Manchester before but it rained in the night and washed it all away

Should have done what Clive did and recorded the telly
