Welcome to the forum BF!
Poacher turned game-keeper
good run, very windy and just a bit of hail and snow.
shins are red raw from getting wipped by heather, went off slightly towards end.many thanks to rod and all the marshalls and helpers for putting on a great race.
Great race, thanks Rod et al!
Managed to survive without bloody shins, until sharp cycling turn home in Hebden Bridge and came off the bike.....d'oh!
Really enjoyed the race and managed to be a whole 6 seconds faster than when I last ran it, 3 years ago. (Think I could have been a couple of minutes quicker with a better route choice in one part.)
That hailstorm really added a memorable element.
But Stagger - what happened? First you were there, and then....ummm....you weren't! Hope you're OK.
Unfortunatley Stagger has damaged his knee quite badly. He hobbled back from Crowhill and went straight to A & E. After 4.5 hours they sent him home with crutches and a knee brace but he doesn't know if it's ligament or cartilage damage. He's got to go to the fracture clinic on Thursday to see a specialist and have some tests.
He'd really like to thank all the Calder Valley marshals who helped him back, it was much appreciated.
So sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed for a full and speedy recovery. Please pass on my best wishes.
Hope your knee isn't too bad Stagger.
All the best for a speedy recovery!![]()
Stagger,
Hope you get sorted soon. Any help required, give me a ring.
G.
Many thanks to the race organisers, and for the phone message to let me know that Stagger had got off the hill okay.
