Your navigation skills are improving Tony, glad to see you have found the fourm.
Just waiting for the results, with my leg in the air. Board out of my mind.
Here they are.

Did this race for the first time
Came with the attitude of this will be an easy race WRONG!
Should have known it would be one of those days when I went the wrong way just driving there.
Got off to a bad start with the weather being up down and all over the place
It was coat on Coat off then back on again
While running across the the first part I thought I was just having a bad day my body just didn't like it had a terrible run up down the first climb.
But however I did notice that a CV runner followed the CV way it looked a lot longer so I continued across the moor and discovered that I had not lost much ground. Still felt rubbish. The final straw was when i found that my laces came undone and promptly got passed by about 1/2 dozen runners
This finally fired me up and on the second climb got passed everyone even passed the 2 CV runners who passed me earlier this spurred me on it was still very hard work but at least I was now enjoying it in a sadistic sort of way.
I dont know which worse the new soft heather which was knee deep or the older heather which whipped your lower legs.
Any way I had good run down with only one person passing me on the final run in
In hind sight though I should have read the article in the Autum Fell Runner
about the Reservoir Bogs Race which as I now Know is in the same area
Hi Flashrunner!
I was the lone CVFR runner who took the Calderdale Way route, which I know is longer and lost me a bit of ground - 20m I reckon - though I still think it's worth considering as it trashes your legs less, which can help later on.
I also wrote the article on the Reservoir Bogs race, so let me tell you that the terrain and navigation is even worse on that! Still huge fun though.. see you there!
UPDATE
Treatment, rest, painkillers and keep the joint moving.
Should settle down if 7 to 10 days.
I tried to bend it a little when I got home.
BIG mistake, went dizzy and felt sick, now got a constant throbing in the knee.
No running, he has booked me in to see a physio and a return appointment in 6 weeks![]()
