Certainly food for thought Manhar. Having said that, unless you cut off very early, you'd have to go at least up to the Pike before you started the descent. Otherwise you'd find youself in the middle of all the crags/quarries and you wouldn't be doing youself any favours. I know the form in the Stoodley Pike Race is to go around the Pike, but perhaps Batman feels that it'll be hard enough on Saturday. I was up there on Wednesday night with the man himself and the Tod Bats, we did irresponsible things involving fireworks in calf deep sludge. It's going to be very, very, muddy.
You could try touching the marshall if this helps. Or run around him, but he's a big bloke.

As there's likely to be another big field please could you all CAR SHARE as much as possible.

Parking has been a particular problem in recent years. We'll again be parking you on one side of the lane either side of the pub but, as this is a bus route, we will be leaving passing places - designated by two cones and tape - to allow the local bus to get through. Please respect these passing places - (they could also be needed for mountain rescue/fire engine etc access.) and park as directed by the Car Parking Marshalls. Your cooperation is much appreciated - please spread the word on this to your clubmates.

We would advise an early arrival as you could be parked up to half a mile from registration.

Entry is on day for both junior and senior races.

    All details at http://www.todharriers.co.uk/shepherds_skyline.htm

Seniors please note that weather conditions may require full waterproof body cover, hat and gloves, so bring all your kit. The kit requirements on the day will be clearly signed and kit checks will be carried out at the start and finish of the race.

    Cheers

    Batman
Leaving from Clitheroe for this - anyone wanting to carshare?

I just thought I would mention with the theme of transport and parking that this one is quite an easy one to get to by train - but then again - i suppose that depends where you are coming from! I'm coming from Leeds and I'm going to go by train - so I hope that will get me a special prize from mandy?!

Good idea Judy. Its only a gentle mile stroll from Tod Station. Unfortunately I'm still not 100% after recent manflu so not gonna race (will probably get a gentle hour out on Chevin or Ilkley Moor instead) but I was considering train or parking in Tod and walking/jogging up to the pub.

Everyone will be today, was wet and boggy up there last weekend and with all the wet stuff we've had this week, it will be even worse today. Bloody love it
Don't forget all your kit folks.
