No it's my first time, I've come out of Christmas a bit too lardy for my liking so wanted something to aim for.

I love Swaledale anyway so looking at the course it looks great - my entry has been posted today.

This looks an interesting event that I don't recall seeing before but for all I know may have typeset a report for it in Northern Runner 20 years ago.
Anyway one thing I did notice was the winning woman for last year's race. Unless I'm mistaken, we paced each other to 10 mile PB's in the Otley 10 mile (or was it Wetherby) back in 1987 when we were both members of the fledgling Abbey Runners club. Looks like she's improved much more than I have in he past 22 years.
It looks like a good event to do but my present plans will have me on my way down to the Pyrenees that weekend.

Normally you get an e-mail about now to confirm that you are in.

Anyone know how you can contact the organiser to see if you have a place?
I have tried to email twice .I paid the entry money and got the form as soon as it came up but no word if i am in or not ? Hope to go and do it as visiting Swaledale and hearing about it last summer re kindled my off road running!

Funnily I was thinking exactly the same thing - I've heard nothing, cheque not cashed and I've emailed the race organisers as well.

I'd like to know too as I want to plan my training accordingly.

No nothing for me either nor has my cheque been cashed, I'd like to know either way whether I'm in or not. A bit poor really ...

If I don't get in I'll do the Wharfedale Off Road marathon instead but would just like to know either way.
