Hmm yes.
The men's race started at 3pm, and the substitutions were male runners (if they were ladies there would be no question)...
But... does the race not start when the first runners are off? and your team of 4 (men and/or women) has to be finalised and posted before the race starts...
I can see both points of view.
I've been out for a run to think about it, and I reckon this is the fairest thing:
If the same team would win whether or not the subsitution happens, then there's no issue.
But if the result is decided on whether the substitution is valid then we will have a replay between those managers at the next suitable race. Like a void match.
