    Indeed they are

    As is DECORATING I believe.

In fact I cut my foot on Sunday on the carpet strip in the front room while I was 'trying' to paint. Clearly I was not made to paint.

Therefore a man needs to come to my rescue and paint for me.

    Please

Correct OHW, decorating is definitely 'real' man territory

can you honestly imagine these new age man types having a thin bit of wood in the shed, solely to stir paint with?

Another 'real' man action is of course taking a newspaper to the toilet with you. It is a visual code that says that's right, I'm going in there and I may be some time.

Well no, I can't... Do you think I should get myself a thin piece of wood or should I flounder confusedly every time I open a tin of paint and think 'I wish I had a thin piece of wood?' and then have to use a good screwdriver or something?

Hmm have to watch OHW, one day she will get her own bit of wood, the next she'll be telling us she doesn't need a man.......
