I'm going to recce Broad Stand some time around Easter (weather permitting) to see if I can stomach it. If not it'll be Foxes Tarn.

Is it ok to put you down for leg 3?

If you're doing BS on the day it may be worth having a pacer/Nav man waiting at the top those supporting can contour round via the west wall and lead you down to Wasdale from there.

That sounds like a great solution, thanks Ian. I was wondering how the logistics of ropes and non-BS pacers would work! That's assuming I have the courage to get up there!!!

Have you any idea how much time BS will save compared to the tarn?

Yes leg 3 is fine. I reckon going via Foxes Tarn adds about 10 minutes.
I'll be around in the Lakes at Easter so keep me posted.

It's not too awkward, it takes around 90 mins to get up to and fix Broad Stand so once the support moves away from Dunmail Raise you should have an idea of when to set off - there's not much mobile signal at the head of Wasdale so that's one thing to consider if the BS party is getting there separately. Previous threads on here have reckoned that BS is about ten minutes quicker than the other ways.

Thanks Bob, I have a little more organising to do for this!

Except for the BS squad, and subject to last minute changes, I now have a team assembled :w00t:
