Let's bring this back to the top.

Hope to see as many of you as possible tomorrow evening.

It's still pretty dry up there.

Think I'll do this tomorrow... my first proper fell race, as opposed to mountain marathons and general tooling around in the hills. Do most runners stick to paths or are cross country routes preferred? Looks like there's a couple of sections with significant route choice.

Its a mix of both cross-country routes and paths but unless you are leading just follow the throng for the first 2 CPs - Badger Stone & Swastika Stone. There's a bit more route choice from there on - particularly from Cowpers Cross to the trig point - I'm planning on following the wall this year!!

Good to see you tonight TF, given that my race was true to my signature, like most people behind me you were probably gaining on me towards the end - I must've lost about 35 places between CP1 & the finish - but still a great race - thanks as always to all the organisers etc.

Good to have a brief chat with Graham B and to have vocal support at CP1 & CP6 from Daleside.

I won't say I did brilliantly DS but thanks for the support. Looked like a classic battle out front with Graham beating Tom Adams by 2 seconds.

    Re: Jack Bloor Races 2011

I went off WAY too quick. Made a dash to the bottleneck at the start and must've been around 30th to the first checkpoint, but it nearly did me in. Definitely lost a good few places as I settled down a bit over to 2 and 3, but made a couple back on the last descent, despite having to slow down briefly to prevent chundering. Good fun. I think.
