I'm off to the Llyn Peninsula at the start of June for a week. I've never been before and was wondering if anyone could recommend any good camp sites, beaches or things to see and do?

we (Slug Family) stayed here: http://www.bolmynydd.co.uk/
just short of Abersoch, nice beach of it's own, and up on a headland so good for some sneaky hill-reps!
Well, its quite a compact area so you will probably get to see it all. On the North side the hills come right down to the sea so the beaches are small and its not really camping area. Abersoch and south side have glorious big beaches. Try googling camping around Aberdaron. Remote and with views out to bardsey island...www.aberdaronlink.co.uk.
Take your daps and run on Yr Eifl. If you are in the area on Sun 3rd June, its only a short drive to Bethesda for the Carneddau race. A superb tough AM race.
Its a lovely area and not too far away from some good hills. I would avoid camping near the Headland (Hells mouth) as it gets very windy even in the summer.
The beaches in Abersoch are nice although it is a bit "cheshire set" with plently of soft roaders about.
Have a look a the Warren, some of those static mobiles go for hundreds of thousands just for a lease!
Thanks for the tips!
be sure to sample a few of the Purple Moose beers. The snowdonia ale was my personal favourite.
also Harlech castle (although possibly not strictly Llyn)
Well planned DD! Carneddau is snowdonia racing at its best. It is a hell of a long drag up Dafydd with some pretty rough sections near the top. If the clag is down, the ridge run to Llewellyn can be surprisingly disorientating, if not, the views are superb. Be careful not to take too much out of yourself on the grassy plunge off Yr Elen because there is a nasty long slog back up before you reach the run in to the village. A race to savour!
Make sure you go to Morfa Nefyn on Llyn. Fabulous views of mountains plunging into the sea.
