Fab race; bogs, tussocks, cows, stiles, the works! ....and the weather was even kind.

Well done to Steve Brock - 3 races, 4th, 3rd and 1st all in one weekend!

    Well done Macali. Fabulous race.

The sun came out after hiding for weeks and displayed the views of the lovely aire valley at it's best.

The race started and finished outside a pub. As you finished someone put a beer in your hand.

    Fantastic!

Many thanks to Macali and all marshalls, including biara and little biara

and great effort to Dom for travelling up. Your nblg vest looked not very well worn.

Hope to see you at a few more fell races soon.

You will have to run it again next year so you know the route and don't get lost.

Aaaaah, now I know who Dom is, unsure on you Swift though. Me and little biara were out at the top, with the wall and the barbed wire fence..

No! My secret identity is out!!

Would have been a great race if I'd actually done any training since I last raced 3 years ago!

    20. Run down the Clough, crossing the green metal bridge, half-way down. Turn left at the bridge, taking the path
through the woods, back into the village.
I knew the instructions said something about a bridge towards the end somewhere! Clearly my detour (totalling about .3 of a mile) explains why my time was at least 10 minutes slower than it should have been.... :closed:

Great race none the less, always good to meet up with a few forumites.

Fab race - Blue loved it! Anyone who says he's a help / advantage is very welcome to run with him and discover the joys of very deep bog (he loves water) and vertical dog like descents!

Biara - the detour across the wall may have helped everyone else but it buggered me having to go the real route via the gate and lose all those places!!!!

Hands up who actually ran round the pinnacle?

Well done to you Macali - superb organisation!

Oh dear, Dom, I thought we'd amended that. At least now it seems that today's race route is the final version, so no more changes and hopefully will be easier, next time. That part of the instructions were leftover from when I wanted to enter the Clough at the other side, with a steeper descent.

Thanks for coming up - true dedication to the cause!
