Its a nice tipple with a peaty taste Jez. I like to make a whiskey mac with stones ginger wine which goes down well . At 43% i think that it is worth buying at that price too.Originally Posted by Jez Hellewell

Thought I'd better fight my sore throat with the smooth, peaty smoke of a 16 yr old Lagavulin.
I had a bit of our Clynelish(?) the other night. Its an odd one. Very strong smell when you open the bottle. The taste is tricky to get, its warming but not that smooth. Tricky.
Picked up a bottle of Laphroaig Quarter Cask the other day. Very nice!
Quarter Cask is one of my favourites!!!
Bruichladdich 17 y.o, rum cask. Mmmm. Salted caramel and molasses, with very restrained peat smoke for an Islay, but very warming as we appear to have headed back into winter.
