I'm still on some ancient version of Internet Explorer so it hasn't changed for me yet either.

Well I've relegated Strava to just keeping tabs on how many miles my fell shoes have done and will be returning to garmin for profiles and maps

A few weeks ago when strava was 'upgraded' it stopped working properly on the version of internet explorer I have on my pc. There was a 'browser not supported' message. So I used Google Chrome instead and it works fine, though obviously the layout is different since the upgrade. And I'd agree that the pace/elevation graph is much worse than the previous version.

It looks like "Oh we forgot that lets just squeeze it in beside the map"

Oh curses, went out for a recovery ride at lunch and strava fever took over. One 6/97 and a reasonable attempt on a climb I usually manage to get wrong. Seem to do alright on the descents - clearly more pies called for.

Is there any way to get Strava to show which runs were done in a specific shoe?

Hover over your name at top right to get the drop down, then select "Settings", on the left of the "Settings" page you can then select "My Gear", on the "My Gear" page you have the option to "Add Running Shoes". Then when you upload an activity you'll have a default pair of running shoes (whichever you choose when setting up in "My Gear") but can change them by selecting the activity, clicking to edit then changing your shoes using the drop down under "Shoes".

    HTH!

I'm always surprised when people get outraged about broadly superficial changes made to something that remains a great concept and is completely free. The notion of segments, the ability to get ideas about new runs and rides by exploring what people have done and the challenges that strava put out there are three really good ideas which add richness to your training even if some of the layouts have changed.

I love it. I reclaimed a CR the other day and can see the chap in second has been out and tried to get it back. He didn't manage it ( ) but I bet he had a better workout than without strava.

Im quite new to cycling and am not nearly strong enough yet to challenge for any KOMs where there are more than a few people but its great how it gives you a little pat for getting a top three in your own times. This is a great way of charting my own progress.

Right enough of this, off for an early ride to have a crack at a new climb that i saw on strava.

Ah right. So you set activity with a default shoe even though they're all runs. Good lateral thinking there. Thank you.
