    Post Hill Challenge West Leeds

The green spaces of our towns and cities are a regular training ground for many fell runners. The lack of ‘genuine fell terrain’ excludes many urban fringe races from making the calendar, albeit they offer genuine challenges. A classic example is The Post Hill Challenge on the outskirts of West Leeds. On Friday the 24th May Pudsey Pacers R.C. extends an open invitation to what is a formidable 5k race with a hill unlike any other on the circuit. Further information at http://www.pudseypacers.com/events/post-hill-challenge and on-line entry at http://www.ukresults.net. Entry also available on the night.

    Indeed we did.

I'll be there again all being well - after all I'm less than 2 miles from Wickes!

Excellent race tonight, tougher than a few fell races, that hill doesn't get any easier! Thanks to Gary and all the Pudsey Pacers organising team and marshalls, and well done on finding a weather window after the rain.

Good to meet Vegan Runner (the vest gave it away!) and well done on pulling away from me in the last 1/4 mile. Also good to chat again to LostLad.

Real star of the night was the blind runner being guided around the race.

Good to meet you too. I'm a Martin as well by the way.

What was that hill all about? Madness.

Again, thanks to all the Pudsey Pacers for the run and to the frankly huge number of marshalls out on the course.

I have no idea where I finished but I had a really good time and that's what matters. As for the blind lass, amazing.

Any idea who the photographer on the left side of the hill was taking pic for?

Some great angle shots there in the Kirkstall Harriers album.

Last year there were links to a couple of albums on the Pacers website - probably worth checking in the next couple of days or so.

Edit: A few pics here - mostly HP Harriers but got you and me in a couple VR - https://picasaweb.google.com/1032742...COf71q6g9-2ONw
