Wanted to run this, & I was 'weekend off' for a change too!!

But, with being away from competition for a few months, & only starting to get a bit of mileage/speed back into the legs I thought better of it - sadly!

Besides, it was my own clubs race yesterday (the 'Priory 10K') & I just had to run that! (as you can no doubt appreciate), & I saw a fwe I recognised from the Trunce (Barnsley AC, Harnsley Harriers, Denby Dale Travellers, etc...)

I wanted to run the '3 in 3' again this year, but a lack of training (& just starting to run again) due to Plantar Fasciitis put paid to my plans

(ran the Trunce though, but slowly!)

I do like Broomhead, it's a lovely little race


Oh well, maybe next year, I'll actually be fit???

By any small chance, does anyone have an overlay (or whatever?) of the prescribed course onto an OS map, please, in a reasonable scale

(I want to show someone the route, rather than just point it out on OS 110)

I have my GPS log which I could send as a gpx file (I think you can import these into Google earth). Not the same as a map plot but gives a good idea of the route.

Hoping to do this on Sunday - my better half is super keen to watch the sheepdog trials (she tells me she grew up watching them on telly...), providing me the perfect excuse to go to race. Is it an out & back?

Its an Anti clockwise loop down hill start(remember that) cross a river turn right the steep up through a wood until ridge line then left run round Broomhead Trig. Fast descent through some woods back along the river until the earlier Stream crossing(remember)...uphill finish and pretty tough
