KD is one of my faves too, but I've resolved to lean more towards doing new races rather than repeats this year
it should also mean that I will enjoy KD all the more next year

I can't do it this year as it clashes with the Evesham Ultra, which I've already entered. It's a great little event though - low key & a new navigation challenge each year. I'll be back in 2015 I hope.

I'm a bit late entering this year. Anyone know if places still available?

anyone else doing this on Sunday?

will be my first time - couple of queries re character of this event:
do the controls tend to be in a fairly obvious loop (so that the main choice is whether to go CW or AC)
do the controls tend to be in fairly obvious view, or will they be "creatively" placed?

Hi Daz. I've done it a couple of times - the route's different every year of course. You have to visit the controls in order. There are generally some significant route choices to make though - I think they try to ensure that. The controls are generally easy to find. I can't remember whether they're all manned, but they might be.

    Thanks Andy
so, a relatively small number of controls, but with route choice in between eh...? think I'm getting the idea...

I should be there. My first time, but I'm looking forward to it.

I hope it rains a lot on Saturday, then the ground won't be too hard.

The start list on the Staffs Moorlands website was only showing 18 entries on Thursday so I suspect EOD on the day will be fine.

Well, after a week of not being organised enough to post a form, I'm all set to turn up tomorrow. Did it 2yrs ago and looking forward to it again - plenty of good scenery - and hills - within striking distance. Should be a good, breezy, clear spring day! On on!

Great day out today, many thanks to Ian Ankers and his team. Fantastic, low key navigational event over access land, paths and tracks. Great route, cheeky checkpoints forced 'interesting' choices, good weather.
Nice to finish in the top half too. Thanks again, really enjoyed it, will be back. Best fiver I've spent for a long time!
