Yeah, sorry about the backside pics. It comes with the territory on vertical uphills. I tried to hold the camera out to the side but it didn't work.

Don't worry Nick keep the photos coming, they really capture the atmosphere of a race. I tried to catch you in the last 10 metres but you held me off.

OB1, love your post. Good to see you back out there racing. Back to work with a big cheesy smile indeed. I'm still on a high today.

I've posted all three sets of photos. Should be easy to find here. The one of Dan Chan flying back down Lantern Pike on his way to the win is spectacular. I had no idea what I'd captured until I got home and downloaded to the computer.

Stagger, great to chat with you yesterday.
    Nick

Great photos! It looked like a really good and well organised do. I see you were following one of my young AM Mayhem lads, they thoroughly enjoyed it. AM Mayhem is my attempt at getting kids in school into fell running (and hopefully encourage them to join a local club), you might see them about at local races. There'll be a decent AM Mayhem crowd out at the Saddleworth Fell Race on Sunday too if you're about for that?

    Chris (Webb)

PS: I was a little disappointed to see you went for the Hayfield Race option rather than joining us at the Old County Tops...next year maybe?!

Hi Chris, I think the speed requirement at OCT is a step too far for me. I've already tried and failed once. I'd need to attack it fresh as a main target, but I'm too greedy so usually not that fresh, if you know what I mean.

Regarding Team Mayhem, I think I followed that same shirt on all three races!

William Clough I heard someone chasing me down to the line and put a spurt on. So that was you then? I didn't see because I was too busy dealing with the temporary nausea from the intense effort.

Rumour has it that one of these three could be an English Champs race next year. I wonder which one?

Anyway, it all kicks off this evening with the May Queen race.

Don't forget that it's a 15 minute jog from registration to the start of tomorrow's Mount Famine race.

    Another great race.

Should be a BOFRA with the juniors and seniors running different routes around a similar hill.

    Thanks to all concerned.
