Not the same as a fell race ,but worthwhile
    Hi Bill
I tried my first ever parkrun on Saturday at Cuerden valley, apparently it's one of the more undulating courses.
I can see the benefit of these type of runs to improve your speed.

Darren if you apply the same commitment to your training as you have with your racing, owt could happen!
Good luck and all the best

Also, i'm not gonna be able to use the line "well, Darren does at least 2 races a week" to get a pass out any more. Your decision to cut down on racing could have massive ramifications for fellrunners with families everywhere.

    Hi Harvey

It's runners like yourself that's prompted me to have a bash at this training malarkey. I remember when I used to beat you....now I can't get near you, ya bugger!

I'll probably still be racing twice a week... Just not twice a day!
Take care mate, your improvement has been an inspiration.

Darren used to spend his money at the barbers as well as on his race entry fees; seen here at the Borrowdale 2011…

Did my own take on Fishwicking today: Early start to drive to Glenridding to climb Catstye Cam Gully onto (surprisingly) Catstye Cam, just about made it back to the car in time to drive over to Sedbergh for the KWL race. The climbing must've been a good warm up, I felt great at Sedbergh!

Has Daz cut down on his racing as he said he would?
