Good to see the likes of Rob Hope, Ian Holmes and Andy Peace around 20-30ish. Does anybody know what Ians highest ever place was in the northern/national XC?

Blimey, what about that Roadrunner eh? Well done mate.
Just as well I changed my forum name from Theroadrunnner after the 'big crash of '06'. I was definitley at the wrong party there!

And how come there's not a Southern XC Champs thread running at the moment?

because most of the people on this forum are from the north, where proper life exists.

As i imagined TBH. The southerners do a good marathon though. And Cornwall is nice.

I loved this race! I think it's because I set off steady and picked it up in the second lap. I'd forgotten what it was like to pass people in the second half-been setting off too fast recently.
Finished 31 places higher up than last year - but there were less running...

Had you seen where the 'Southerns' were this year? For those of us on the south coast the Midland champs would have been considerably closer!
