Give it a try, no harm in trying. My mate stated a cat A long and the OMM as his experience and was rejected entry last year, but it was a champs counter. Your mate might struggle.

t' th'organiser...to save all this "anyone want my entry coz it's a much 'arder race than I might've realised when I entered online" just revert back to "entry on the day".

Sorry, I forgot, there's loads more brass to be med by fillin' th'entries online...then when only 'alf the pre-entered runners turn up on the day it's easier to manage all round...plus there's a load o'spare brass to spend int'pub after.
