Of course a team like United expect to win, Barca do, Madrid do, Liverpool do, City certainly do, even Newcastle do.. and Spurs..

Players who play at that level think they will win any game.. it borders on arrogance but that's what makes them so good. Think about when Giggs took the ball off vieira in the 99 semi final, only great players would think abut beating every arsenal player ahead of them and scoring...

I don't think any United fan actually expect to win the league every season, Ferguson had many fallow years, but we remained in the CL spots and brought in the odd cup, the CL cost Moyes his job.. he could have finished trophyless had there been progression under him. Had we finished the season strongly, but we didn't. Every game was a different 11. I thought we'd give him next season but we do need 2-3 players and if they won't give him the money then he's a sitting duck.
