Whatever the forecast said, the actual weather couldn't be faulted this year. Overcast and dry with temperatures cool but not cold. Even the ploughed fields were dry. Perfect
I think I might be down to your pace tomorrow Morgan Note to self - do not switch off and follow someone while eating cake - can be costly
as a third timer, I thoroughly enjoyed this again. took nearly 3hrs off my disastrous numpTing around in last years wet n cold! and was well chuffed to get under 8hrs. Agreed, the conditions and going couldnt have been much better. There was loads of Scots competing (and stealing 'our' top places ) - They should organise more races up there !
I did a quick tally of comparing 08 + 09 top results:
4th in 08 was 2nd 09, 54 mins quicker
12 -> 3rd, -1h10
29 -> 8th, -1h34
17/18th -> 11/12th -1h08
19 -> 15th, -50m
21 -> 21st, -39m
26 -> 24th, -47
and not comparable - me:
60th -> 13th, 2h51m quicker!!

Are you THE LR
Aye... Coniston was my last tri for a while as I want to focus on the BGR.
But Coniston... what a long day that was... well for some of us.
Definitely want to do that one again, but not just now.
Been a good year?
Anyone else doing this this year (I know Nick Ham is)?
