BJ.....i know there's nothing more boring and tedious than being forced to listen to a runner prattle on about their injuries, but i'm absolutely dejected about this one, i'd worked so bloody hard to get back after being out for so long.

I'll tell you what though i'll get round the National if it's the last thing i do. I don't care if i come last, there's no way i'm missing the club weekend in Sunderland. Ibroprophen will get me round, and then i'll completely rest up for as long as it takes.

Does your injury offer a chink of light for Spirit In The Sky perhaps ??

    I suppose it does Notlob.

Three weeks of no running isn't ideal preparation....... but you never know it might act like a super taper or something!!!!

I know from prevous injuries that i can maintain a decent level of cardiovascular fitness by swimming. So whilst the sensible money has to be on Spirit In The Sky at the National don't write me off just yet.

I remember him when i was a little lad XCRunner. I'm 42 years old now. he was a friend of my Dads. He was an extremely influential and leading coach wasn't he?

Looks like Spirit and Sparth ran particularly well today, and what about Fergal !
Biriani for endurance, pathia for speed.
