    Calder Valley Rd-Good Friday

Calder Valley Round - 16 miles and 4000 feet
(as featured in the latest Fellrunner p 97 )

I will be taking another run round this on Good Friday 2nd April probably joined by some 3 peaks contenders from Idle AC who will use it as a training run. The aim is to get under 3-30

8-30 start from the White Lion Mytholmroyd.

All welcome to tag along or go at your own pace using the route description from the website here

Ok better start a list then. So far we have:

    Mountain Man
    Rachel
    Al Fowler
    Darth Domain

plus some maybe's from Idle AC.

It could be a bit slow for you Al but it should serve as a recce so you can give it some stick on a solo run!

    Hey im in no rush.

I'll be coming on the train....is the meeting point far from the station?

One question i was wondering last night, are there any steep-ish grassy desents all. I was just asking as to whether i needed to bring my decent x-talons that i try to save for racing or whether i'd get away with the little bit of grip my old'uns still have.

No it's only a couple of hundred metres - just the other side of the river.

There are a few good descents especially near the end but your old uns will be good enough - might slow you down a bit as well
