    Totally agree. Steady pace (fraction below tempo) all the way to Stoodley, then step up the effort from there. But if your energy levels are depleted before Stoodley you've blown it.

    In that case Brett is it OK after I have picked my number up that I drive to Todmorden and wait at Studley Pike and jump in with the leaders as they come through?

    you could try Pennistone Hill but you may get a few 'opportunists'' knocking on the door....
