I've uploaded a zip file containing a gpx and mmo file of the route. The main loop is run in the anticlockwise direction, ascending up James's Thorn and descending down lightside.
The gpx file opens fine in googleearth. I haven't tried the mmo file but it was done with memory map2004.
Good stuff STL![]()
I've decided I will be doing Shelf Moor
I'll bring along some Rescue Ale if there is any interest.
I've got permission too![]()
It'll be great to see everybody there. Hopefully the rain will hold off. I picked the prizes up from Simon Dunn in Glossop yesterday and I think he may have even done a better job than last year.
Just a reminder that the Junior race is also taking place tomorrow.

Just had brekkie and now to make sure that I've got all the gear. Can't wait to get to the climb at James Thorn. Going for a good, steady, I'm just glad to be able to run type run. Might not rain until later on, fingers crossed.Hope I can find the Scout Hut. Hope Street?

Big vote of thanks to everyone concerned, especially the organiser and the people up on the moors. Thanks to those who put out the flags and collect them back in. Shouldn't have passed the young lady on the home stretch, she got a bottle of beer and I didn't. That'll teach me.![]()
Many thanks to everyone who turned out today, runners and marshals.
Well done to Lloyd and Christine as winners today. Lloyd's time was faster than I expected given the conditions underfoot at the moment.
As promised earlier here are the provisional results. I have had to compress the file to meet the upload limit. If there are any changes to names or clubs please let me know in the next couple of days and then I will post the file to the FRA and our webmaster.
Sorry that you missed out on your beer two toe nails. A few people had nipped past before I could hand it out, and then I couldn't catch up with everyone in drinks area.
