    Haworth run - Tues 12th

14 miles tomorrow morning from Penistone Hill - on the remote chance anyone is free then. Will cover the start and finish of the Hobble route

Don't know where you are coming from but roads on far side of penistone hill pretty naff and slippy this evening. Only 1 side appeared to have been treated!! Would suggest parking in Haworth (opposite cricket club where people do for bunny run) and walking up.

Reasonable going to Bronte Bridge then slow up to Top Withens. After that the snow drifts were too deep to make any progress - perhaps a pair of snowshoes would have been useful . Resorted to Plan B which was the loop back via Stanbury. Great fun though despite the cold wind.

Mountain Man, the tracks you left were hopeless for running in (couldn't work out your tread either...), but coming back via Stanbrury was much easier compared ot the weekends flounder over to the Stoop.

Did it look like a motorbike had been up there to you?

Yes it must have been - made for easier running for a while! The tread was Mizuno Wave Harrier mark one by the way!
