    World Masters Korbielow

Anybody doing the World Master Mountain Running Champs is Korbielow, Poland next month - 28th August. I have been to several of these over the last few years and they have all been excellent. It would be nice to have a few more English/British runners so that we could perhaps win a few team titles. The event website is www.wmmrc2010.org I am going and have done some research, so if anyone has any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to help. The entry fee is 43 euros until the end of this month, but after that it goes up to 55 euros.

    Re: World Masters Korbielow

I booked 4 of us on this last night and one other of our fold is already entered, more detail here . Six travelling from the Manchester area that I know of (5 racing).

It was £20 for a foreign transfer by IBAN (on top of 43EUR entry) so I did it using my on-line account and it was then £5 each (£20/4). I had to do some searching for the ING Bank address which the transfer also requires (I hope it worked but don't know yet).

Thanks for the IBAN info - just entered (? I think). Posted something on earlier thread http://forum.fellrunner.org.uk/showt...ters-in-poland
to say that the payment recipient name should apparently be "Stowarzyszenie Biegow Gorskich", but with accents above both "o"s - they show as empty boxes on the e-mail the organisers sent me. Awaiting entry confirmation before enquiring about accomodation, which has to be booked by July 31st if going via the organisers.

I notice some folk are down as GB and others UK. Assuming there is no difference, should these be consolidated into one nationality? I am now on the start list but don't know whether the IBAN payment worked. Booked accomodation through the site but received no reply from organiser??

p.s. if anyone sees Ginny let her know she needs to amend her nationality (I accidentally put her down as Polish)!

The place name looks like the same place the Europeans was at a few years ago. Enjoy it, it was about 3 hours from the airport on roads that even the UK would be ashamed off! The place was nice, very close to the border so take your passport if out for a run! We didn't get through much money when we were there!!!

Any recollections of the terrain, Roadrunner? Travelling light, so can't afford to take the usual several pairs of shoes.

(not expecting an answer in the next few days, obviously - I understand you're a bit busy this weekend ! Best of luck).

Good M45 team there, though looks like there won't be enough runners in the younger (relatively!) age groups to finish UK teams. Handy video of the course on race home page at http://www.wmmrc2010.org/en/.

By the way, anyone planning to return on the Sunday (29th) on Easyjet Krakow to Liverpool flight may want to confirm their flight - was told by Easyjet a couple of weeks ago that mine was cancelled, then told it wasn't, now just been told again it IS cancelled! Never thought I'd say thank goodness for Ryanair!
