Next Heptonstall Recce?

Following the fun we had with 17 forumites reccing on 2nd Jan (organised at only 2 days notice) it has been suggested we put a few more in the diary with a bit more notice!
A few of us will be running the route on different weekends over January; the usual format is to meet about 07.50 to start at 08.00. Steady running usually gets you round in just over 3 hours, then its back to the White Lion pub for free soup and rolls and a pint.
Those who want to cut it short can bail out at 10 miles (close to village).
The race diary is pretty busy so the main options this month might be this Saturday or Sunday (7th/8th), Saturday 14th, or Sunday 29th.
The recce/pub/free food combo might make an excellent social for your clubmates - let me know if you would like me to set something up with the landlord.

An excellent choice Andy; Sunday 29th works for me (but not the Saturday). Lets see if we can rope a few more in to make it worth ordering the soup.

Well normally I'd say middle of the pack, but I'm not sure that applies to the sort of pack that roams Calderdale. I ran the Hebden last year in 3:53 - I'll probably be a few mins slower this year as I'm still finishing off the Xmas cake. 5:20 in last year's Hobble. I'm not so fast over the tussocks though!

Yes: number 8. I'm keeping an eye on the Hobble website as well, as entries are supposed to open today. I've got the 29th in my diary.
