    Thumbs up Re: Cader Idris

    Mr Invisible

According to the AA route planner (poor man's Sat nav) from Ashton it will take 2 hrs 7 mins. Consequently if we aim to get there an hr before kick off (2:00) I would aim to pick you up at 10:45 approx if that is Ok with you.

I think I'd allow a little bit longer than that .

Me too....took us an age to get there last year. will be making the journey to race again this year though. cracking race...just hope that the weather is a bit better this year, and that we will be able to see somthing of the welsh mountains this time ....foggy and damp last year, which made it interesting on the descent (well for me anyhow)

There are trains that will get me to Ashton at 9:37, 10:07 or 10:37. From other replies, one of the earlier ones would probably be best.

Whilst the organisation is excellant, everyone is very friendly, its a lovely town, I think the actual race route is fairly ordinary. Quite a bit on the road, then up a fairly long even slog. Although it may not be feasible for a race, there are plenty of more intersting circuits over the mountain.

Compare it with Tarrenhendre race route for example.
