Of course! Great race (except for the descent of Aggie's).

I've marshalled several times and I think this is the year to actually have a go.

    Any advice on footwear??

I noticed many people in the photos on the Dashers site in road/trail shoes.

It's mainly paths but there will be at least one muddy field.
Trail shoes would be ok but I will stick with Swoops!

Think with the weather as great as it is at the moment and having been up there on sat morning then you'll be needing fell shoes!
    Bit wet!

Sarahs marshalling so I've no babysitter!!

If I can sort one then I might come and try and put the nightmare from this race last year to bed!!

    Tockholes Fell Race

Are any forumites coming to Tockholes to do this race?

Its on Saturday 5th July 2008 from Rock Lane Tockholes.

Course is 5.8miles 1100ft of climb. Its an excellent beginners race and has a very tough climb straight upto Darwen Tower.

I should be marshalling somewhere on route
As with all Darwen Dashers race there are trophies (I think) to the winners and some nice prizes.

    See you there
    Jamie

    Re: Tockholes Fell Race

Only injury will keep me away Jamie - I plan to do Aggie's next week and then go on to do Tockholes the week after.

    Never done Aggie's before.

But for everyone, this is a great little race - a bit of everything in it.

No likelyhood of making it a 3 race series with an overall Mens and Ladies winner I suppose!
(I've got my eye on it)

Might do this, so hopefully see you there. If I'm running as badly as I was last night, I'll stop for a chat.
