I recced 1&2 with some club mates yesterday. We left the car and got the bus to Keswick. Works really well, the owners at raise house bunk house don't mind if BGers use the facilities, so you can pop in and make a cup of tea afterwards too..
It's a shame reccing the rest is not as logistically easy.

I'm heading to the lakes with Andy on the 20th, and, unless anything unforeseen happens then yes, we're still on for the 20th. We're aiming to be at Dunmail Raise for around 8.30am ish, and head up to Keswick from there. It looks like there is a bus at 9am, so if we can't hitch a lift before that time then we'll jump on the bus to Keswick. Planning on sections 1 & 2, but we will see how it goes depending on weather/fitness etc. Welcome to join us if you like,

Later in the spring I will try to do the whole lot over two days. I will start at Dunmail and do legs 3 and 4 then stay at Honister YHA. The following morning I will do leg 5 into Keswick where I can buy some provisions then continue on with legs 1 and 2.
That's good. My wife will ferry me to Keswick so could pick u up at Dunmail.
