That second hill is fantastic!
A high quality field and an excellent turnout for the race last night with 106 runners, possibly the most ever for Herod Farm.
Thank you all for coming along!
Here's piccie of the Macc rent a mob.
Very happy with my mug and always happy to support local businesses. Got the Shelf Moor one though rather than the latest edition as there were only two left and it seems they are becoming collectors items. Cheers Doctor H. Cracking race, and I was pleased with my run (would have been nice to have beaten Marko though - if I'd known how close behind him I was I would have gone a bit faster) . Thanks to Glossopdale Harriers.
Just sold the last 'Shelf Moor' mug, watch out on ebay. It'll rival 'Studmarks on the Summit'. Thanks for the support. Def be running it next year.
Herod Mugs down to 18 . . .
Any results for this out yet? Will they appear on the Glossopdale website?
Full results will eventually appear on the Glossopdale website. I have the details of most of the category winners, who were:
MEN
1st Lloyd Taggart (DPFR) 22.19 (record)
2nd Andi Jones (Salford) 22.49 (after finishing 10th at London Marathon!)
V40 D. Safranauskas (Trafford) 25.26
V50 Luv Shack (Pennine) 27.20
V60 Barry Blyth (Macc) 28.03
V70 Barry Thackery (DPFR) 43.14
Team; DPFR (1st, 4th and 9th)
LADIES
1st Natalie White (Bingley) 26.34 (record), wins Stella Judd memorial trophy
2nd Jackie Lee (Eryrie) 27.20
3rd J Hatton (Macc) 31.07
It was great to see such a strong ladies field, I know that Stella would have loved to have been up there with you.
It should be noted that both course records were broken, possibly due to the strength of the competition and the good conditions on the night. There was a course alteration follwowing change of ownership/use at Herod Farm, I don't know whether or not that made any difference to the course length, or affected times in any way?
Well done Luv Shack. A great result.
