Shame its on the same day as the Roaches in the same part of the world. Hopefully next year one of the organisers can change the date so we can run both as they are both top races and surely would both benefit from being on different Sundays.
Its better to have fought and lost, than not have fought at all.

Agree, a change of dates would surely benefit both races.

Also, given the date and the start time of the race it would be nice to show some mark of respect.

Has anyone done this 7.1 mile race on the 14th Nov & what sort of terrain is it?

Tis limestone country. Grass and wet limestone mostly, the odd farmers field to contend with. A fair bit of stone track along side the river (which potentially could just be in the river). It starts up near the pub in Youlgreave, before heading down into the river cut valley before coming out again (turn LEFT before getting to the top!?!), round a few fields, drop back down to the river before finishing up a wee bit of tarmac and into the sheep field at the end.

http://forum.fellrunner.org.uk/showt...-Round-Lathkil (its from 2009 but other than the dates I'd assume not too much has changed...)

Surely not. The grid reference is wrong in the Calendar, but it seems to start at the Lathkill Hotel in Over Haddon.
