    Fell-Race For Life

I'll presume that this race follows parts of the course of 'Ovenden'?, which I ran for the first time on Saturday, & quite enjoyed!! (well, most of it)

Where does it alter from the route of Ovenden, given that it's shown as being a mile shorter?

I'm day-off, & hoping to get back up there for it, & perhaps bring the trio that came to Ovenden back with me, as they all enjoyed that race (being one ladys first ever fell-race too!!)

I ran both last year in my 212's. the main difference between the two races is that instead of turning left up the steep hill you carry on to the top of the road where you start and finish at ovenden. Running down that track/road can be a tad painful because of the lack of protection in the 212's. if it remains dry you could pretty much run it in trainers.

    RESULTS !! How's that then ??

Adam was just 11 seconds outside his own record in those atrocious conditions. His record time was set in dry weather. Today we had mist and sleet, and the ground was "wet" to say the least !
Well done to everyone who took part in this, my final race, and thanks for all those years of organisational pleasure. That's your lot.

    Re: Fell-Race For Life

Crikey Allan, those were quickly done

I found out that 2 of my Club-mates (a married couple) had travelled over from Selby-shire to run it, & as usual the wife beat the husband!!! (even if for 68th & 69th)

Looking at the list, I wish I'd been able to make time to attend now!
My (near) name-sake, & friend Richard, finished in 10th.
Adam Osborne was a teacher at my daughters School (believe he's left now?)
