Looks like a money making crock of shite for people who have never been out of their back garden without someone holding their hand.
Just as well Distress Beacons aren't legal - otherwise you would have to have one of them as well.
Glenshee 9 is new for 2008.
It's on Sunday August 10th from Glenshee ski centre, and bags 9 Munros.
Here's the route:

I'll stick it on Scottish Hill Racing when I get round to it.
Damn wish i wasn`t doing the Devil on the 9th, might nip over from FW to Glenshee to take a look though,i know which to do next year though (it won`t be the lakeland 100 for sure).

Chris did i see somewhere that there is to be another new race this year taking in SLIOCH, if so have you got any details as i can`t seem to find any reference to it now.

I mostly agree but I don't think 75 quid is that bad for a hundred mile race. Getting permission must be a pain in the lakes and I'm surprised that they have managed to do it because of Park authority etc.
The GPS bit is crazy - loads of fell runners don't even owe one so they have reduced their market already.
However it is great that there is a market for events like this and hopefully someone soon will get it right and put on a great 100 mile race that might stop us having to go to france or the US.

A new race on 31st May 2008
