Up the mighty Wharfedale 'arriers!
How hard is this one to navigate? Dont know the route and hoping to just turn up and run.
For those wondering, Dale Head fell race will go ahead this weekend despite the cancellation of the Borrowdale Show.
Start is as advertised at 2pm on Sunday 21st September with registration in the Institute from 1pm. Car parking will be at The Scafell Hotel -limited space so car share if possible. I understand that unfortunately it will not be possible to hold the usual junior races.
See thee there.
PS, nav is fairly straightforward -there's only one checkpoint (on Dale Head) and much of the ascent is on path, but care is, as ever needed -following the cancellation of the race last year due to he sideways rain, a few of us went for a run up to the tarn anyway and one hardy soul (no names) ended up in Newlands -better luck this year!
Tempted to have a go at this one!!
Anyone got a route description for this? Obviously it's up Dale Head from Rosthwaite but which side of High Scawdel?Allerdale Ramble-Tongue Gill-Tarn-Summit?
