Hills and Guinness!
Just to add to this......Watch this space, Al Fowler, only 18, a raw talent, left me for dead (OK that's easy to do, cos i'm a fat, knackered Pony with too many years of self abuse on the clock) thanks for waiting Al.
Give him loads of advice and encouragement folks
When he gets some races, expierience, and confidence under his belt he'll be a damned good fell runner

Well thankyou very much for the compliment merrylegs.
It was a brilliant run, one of my all time favourites and first proper run in the fells!.......even though i 'left you for dead', my legs were dead themselfs so you have to credit yourself.
Many highlights to the run including the two comments i got on the run from passers by, first the guy telling me "theres nothing on you man", and then a fell runner with his dogs noticed my clothes and said "nice colour co-ordination there, good to see fashion isnt dead even in the fells"
Ive discovered snow is cold, and some people in coniston who drive black astra vans with a silly exhaust and the reg starts with 'baz', dont appreciate you running on the road!.
Cheers merrylegs!

Well its just your natural thermals for on the fells
When my mum rung me to see where i was during our post-run bru, her very words where "we are in coniston, we'll pick you up".
So after you dropped me off at the campsite entrance, i sat down in the curb and waited for our car to appear over the hill.
I waited and waited, got cramp many times and cars passing me must of thought i was either getting hit by suddern electric shocks or having a fit.
After about 20 minutes my mum rings me up "Where are you, we are by the campsite shop".
I tell her im at the main entrance, she replys "ok well set off up that way".
So after waiting 25 minutes, shivering, getting cramp and wondering where the hell they are.....they come walking towards me.....no car at all "We walked".
Turns out my mum just didnt think about what she was saying and meant they would meet me and walk back with me.
But, after getting slightly 'annoyed' with her, the mile walk back to the cottage did me alot of good and my legs where fine that night and the day after.
Oh heck, you should have walked back down to me caravan, had another brew, and i'd have given you all a lift back to Torver
Then again you'd have been in a state the day after
Try some Nuun's tablets, no cramp for Merrylegs since i've used em, and they work out cheaper than natural thermals
