Done this for the last three years as it's one of my fave local races. Throughly peeved that a prolonged bout of man-flu means I can't have a crack at beating my PB. Conditions should be set for a fast one as it's meant to be very cold and windless. See you all as I'll be helping out somewhere along the course.

...not really, it's not too rough - you pretty much follow the line of a wall up before heading off for the top - the toughest aspect of the race are the peaty mounds which can swallow you up to your ankles, but the ground frost and lack of recent rain should mean that it's not as heavy going as e.g. last year. Also it was very windy and running against that was hard work last year. Again, that shouldn't be an issue tomorrow.
As 8 miles will nbe my longest run for months I will follow behind you mudlugger if thats ok, what cstume will you be wearing?
