Off to the SW for a couple of weeks on Friday.
Anyone recommend any good and hilly off-road runs in the Bodmin, Wadebridge, Padstow, Polzeath area?
I always seem to end up doing the coast path which is nice but could do with a change.

My neck of the woods
I would recommend rough tor and brown willy (cornwall's 2 highest peaks) from either side (park at jamaica inn for one direction or camelford for the other) and double up great day out

Cheers curt - I'll check that out. Seems there's plenty of moorland around - just not sure where's best.
Well many thanks for that - did it last week and very much enjoyed it. Parked at Rough Tor and then went up and over Rough Tor, Brown Willy and then back via a hawk's tor and garrow tor. A bit wet and windy when we set off but soon cleared up to be a lovely day. One slight problem though, I did not realise the multitude of ancient sites littering the moor. My wife came with me and as she studied archeaology at uni, we had to stop every 500m or so to take in various bronze age and neolithic sites! Still, adds even more interest to lovely run out and makes a change from the coast path. Will definitely explore the area more next time I'm down there.
