To the Regiment - I Wish I Was There
I understand swollen fingers can be a sign of dehydration - its sometimes easy to get dehydrated in winter conditions 'cos you feel less inclined to drink enough, compared to a hot summer day?
The only workout you'll ever regret is the one you didn't do.
Ultra runners get this I understand - my partner gets it after just an hour or two; the reason behind it is debated but probably multi-factorial with centrifugal force from arm swinging, constricting clothing/back pack straps, overhydration, and increased blood flow all playing their part. I doubt 3,000 ft of elevation is relevant.
Have you checked that its not just the rest of you going thin!?

I thought this thread was about somebody who had been sucking, instead of blowing, warm life back into their fingers and overdone it.
