Look forward to the v2 then. The one thing I would change on the v1 is a more agressive tread.

I tried Martin, soley based on the amount of people wearing them my thinking being if its good for them it will do for me but have gone back to Salomon where I will firmly stay.
Mudclaw grip is amazing, Talons amazing grip and as light as a pair of slippers but they just dont seem to suit my feet, all of my current niggles started maybe coincidenatlly when I started trying inov8, and since I have gone back to wearing Fellcross and Sense Ultra the problems are diminishing again. I know some poo poo Salomon quality and claim that they are over expensive but over 750 miles in my FC1s and still going strong, im looking forward to getting some FC2s anyway even if they do cost a "million" quid and are "experimental" !! ;-)
Coming from a motorsport background where a set of tyres would cost me nigh on £200 and last 45 mins, hundreds of miles and hours of fun for a £120 pair of racing shoes is cracking value in my book.

I'm only poking a bit of fun  Must admit I do a fair bit of walking and general pottering in Salomon trail shoes and I've always found them to be comfortable and last a long time - so probably worth the money, especially if you can get them on special offer.
Have done some running in XA Pros but quickly realised these are a pretty pointless shoe, basically a road shoe with off road styling, b*gger all grip on mud, and particularly lethal on wet rock. I do quite like the look of some of these Fellcross and Fellraiser thingies though, good to see Salomon are starting to catch on to the sort of sole designs that are useful to UK fell runners.
