I run in mudclaw 300's and love them for shorter runs, but find that after about 15 miles I tend to get blisters on my instep. Anyone got any suggestions about fell shoes for longer distances? is there any particular reason why a shoe should be great fit for shorter distances but go wrong at longer ones?
I have been looking for a shoe that won't give me 15 mile blisters, and am considering la sportiva crosslites, which instantly feel amazingly comfortable when i try them on. Anyone got experience of them over longer distances? How do they compare to the mudclaws as a multi-terrain shoe, eg. for harder, drier ground as well as mud?

However, I have to say that I wear my mudclaw 300s more and more because they are the best fell shoe I've ever had. Far more comfortable than the 333s.
