There's not enough hard packed surface to make you suffer in Walshes, but sufficient grassy (now wet and grassy) descending to make their grip very useful...if that helps![]()
I was thinking about asking the footwear question.
Thanks everyone for the info.
I'll be wearing La Sportiva Crosslites as usual (rapidly wearing out now).
Thanks very much to the RO and team of marshals for putting on a great race.
Extra special thanks for the beer and yummy veggie option after the race. Went down a treat.
Great to finally officially meet you Nick. Look forward to seeing the picks you took![]()
What a superb run with 'afters' at the brewery. Thanks to organisers and marshals for making this a fell race with knobs on.
I've lived around here all my life and this was my first proper visit to Bollington, shame on me. Great to meet you officially, Truck.
Pictures are here.
Thanks for organising Andy... great race but my prep not the best... 3.30 start to get up to Wasdale and then drive back.
Standing in the rain in Wasdale, it occurred to me that as the weather had called time on Daz's BG, I could get back in time for this gem.
Very tough for Daz to have to pull out, but, while the weather was less than great in Bollington, it was 'orrible up there... I'm sure he'll crack it next time.
Anyway, suffered a bit going round, but, as ever, glad I did it despite being shamefully slow![]()
The pint at the end was gorgeous:thumbup:
Results are now up on the Macc Harriers website here.
Thanks again to everyone involved for such an enjoyable day.
